Coffee Trainings

Our NAIL THE BASICS coffee training covers the bona fide skills you need to work as a barista and MAKE A GOOD COFFEE. Small classes, low key vibes and sweet skills. It's all you need.

We train to be work ready – there are many “certificate” trainings available, but we find any staff that have attended these trainings aren’t being trained in the technical aspects needed to operate a machine and make a beautiful, drinkable coffee.
We aim to fill that gap.

You’ll walk away from the class with an understanding of coffee roasting and grinding, shot extraction, milk texturing and pouring/latte art. That being said, you may need more than one class – some people can pickup coffee instantly, some people take a little more time.

Our coffee trainings will be tailored to each students' skill set and areas they’d like to develop. Prior to the class we will send through a quick survey to check where you’re at with skills and knowledge, and which areas you’d like to focus on.

Price is $140 per person, 2 people per class to 2 trainers to ensure you get hands on time on the machine to get the most out of the time.
The classes run for 2 hours on Friday nights, 5-7pm or 6-8pm, whichever works best for you.

Crochet Classes

Crochet classes (for beginners to advanced and everything and anything in between) are regularly held in store with local crochet-master Cherry. Classes are usually a max of 6 people, which ensures you get lots of attention as you learn! Cherry can take group bookings and specific requests. Classes begin at $30 and include kits. E for Ethel Venue Hire

Venue bookings are welcome in our space, but must be held outside of our trading hours as we are one, large open space. Booking Structure $150 Initial Hour + $100 Every Additional Hour, maximum 4 hour event. Catering $10 per head minimum requirement of 10 people. Catering includes a regular hot drink, a cold drink, and a food option (sweet or savoury). Venue includes staff, free wifi access, workshop tables, filtered water, power access and on site bathrooms. Liqueur licences available upon request. Terms and Conditions Full payment required 2 weeks prior to event with a nonrefundable deposit of 50%. Cancellations received in writing to ethel@eforethel.com.au within 48 hours prior to event will receive a an event credit, valid 3 for months from the original booking date. Cancellations within 48 hours will incur no refund. Subject to conditions. Residential sound restrictions in our area require all events crease by 11pm.
